Job Description:

Our client, a 5 star Game Reserve, based in the Northern Cape, is looking to employ a Sous Chef


  • Overall responsibility for daily operation in the kitchen, including administration, costing, stock take and stock level.
  • Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
  • Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders.
  • Maintain impeccable personal hygiene and ensure all staff are aware of any guest dietary or needs and food preparation is done accordingly.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality
  • Producing menus and new dishes that are both creative and profitable.
  • Approving all prepared food items that eave kitchen and ensure that food that leaves the kitchen is of highest quality.
  • Ensure that portions are correct and that food is plated in an attractive manner.
  • Supervision of staff



  • Driver’s licence Code EB
  • Computer literate
  • 10 years kitchen experience
  • 3 years as a Sous Chef/ Senior Chef de Partie
