Our client, a 5 star Game Reserve, based in the Northern Cape, is looking to employ a Sous Chef
- Overall responsibility for daily operation in the kitchen, including administration, costing, stock take and stock level.
- Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
- Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders.
- Maintain impeccable personal hygiene and ensure all staff are aware of any guest dietary or needs and food preparation is done accordingly.
- Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality
- Producing menus and new dishes that are both creative and profitable.
- Approving all prepared food items that eave kitchen and ensure that food that leaves the kitchen is of highest quality.
- Ensure that portions are correct and that food is plated in an attractive manner.
- Supervision of staff
- Driver’s licence Code EB
- Computer literate
- 10 years kitchen experience
- 3 years as a Sous Chef/ Senior Chef de Partie
